History: The first Church of Sncoale was founded in 1606 and dedicated to Our Lady of Health. It caught fire in 1834. Its frontispiece, however, still stands onteh bank of the Zuari river. The erstwhile Portuguese Government had declared it a national monument on 19.3.1937. The present church was a chapel probably founded in 1783. It was elevated to the rank of a parish in 1839.

Architectural notes:

• Mannerist Neo-Roman style
• Medium size, 5 bays x 3 storeys
• Frontispiece with Rococo curves and Pozzoan pediment
• Twin bell turrets, finials of urn type
• Large porch with corrugated sheet roof
