Nosso Senhora do Socorro Church
Founded: 1667Â Â Â Â Feast: 3rd Sunday of November
History: This is the third rectorate the Franciscans established within the confines of the original parish of Serula in 1667. The Church was rebuilt in 1763 by the Gaunkars. The main altar is dedicated to Our Lady of Socorro whose throne and the pulpit came from the convent of Cruz Milagres, Old Goa.
Architectural notes:

• Sequence of Arch-Rectangle-Oculus-Niche
• Templet has angels in relief at base and Franciscan insignia ‘AM’ at top
• Tri-engaged columns in façade
• Reduplicated moldings in ground storey
• Five quatrefoil openings in 3rd story
• Twin towers with stacked-pots finials
• Oversized bell mounted outside right tower
