History: The original Chapel of Graca was a military chapel built in 1559. It was demolished in 1855 and rebuilt in another place in Maddel. The present church erected in Maddel was begun in 1855 and completed in 1860.

Architectural notes:

• Mannerist style with Rococo features
• Medium size, 3 bays x 3 storeys
• Rococo curves in simple frontispiece with cone finials
• Twin bell towers with flowerbud finials
• Concrete shade for main door
