| The Menezes
Braganza House overlooking the church square at Chandor (9 km
east of Margao), is a fine example of a well preserved heritage
house in Goa. The construction was carried out in phases and is
between 450 and 260 years old. The magnificent ball room is fitted
with crystal chandeliers from Belgium and has mirrors with gilded
frames. There is also a large library holding a collection of
some 5000 books. Antiques from around the world adorn every room
and overwhelm the visitors.
