Cruise The River Sal

The beautiful River Sal originates in Verna and after meandering for 35 kms, meets the Arabian sea at Betul. A river cruise originating at Mobor or Assolna (12 km south of Margao) turns into a rather memorable journey which affords an insight into the mangrove ecosystem. Besides many species of mangroves, one can spot a variety of birds and even some flying foxes. The river economy is seen in action with the fishermen doing their rounds, casting their nets and searching for clams.
