The Goa Food and Cultural Festival 2017, organised by the Goa Tourism Department, is yet again all set to raise the benchmarks in Goa with fun, music and delicious Goan food. The festival was a grand success in 2016 and this year it is all decked up a more brighter show.
The event will be held from May 10th to 14th at the D B Bandodkar Ground, Campal, Panaji. Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) in association with Department of Tourism, Govt of Goa organizes this festival every year to showcase the unique culinary aspect of Goa and the Goan culture and traditions through various programs and performances.
This year, the highlight of this festival will be the huge stage that will feature a huge LED wall to feature innovative creative content that is thematic to the festival. This will be a developed animation which will create stunning dynamic backdrops every minute ensuring a visual treat to every visitor.
A smashing lineup of Entertainment includes National level rock bands like The Local Train from Delhi, Antariskh from Delhi, Lagori from Bangalore, Bombay Bassment from Mumbai and Bad Blood from Goa to cater to touristic delights as they holiday here in Goa. Needless to say that the Goa Food & Cultural Festival will also present Goa’s very own legends like Sonia Shirsat & JoeDcosta, Lorna and many more local Goan artists and performers. Thus while exhibiting the local Goan Culture and tradition, the music from the national level bands will cater to both tourists and locals. This year, the Goa Food and Cultural Festival 2017 festival will present elegant and exclusive set up and designs that will impress all the visitors coming from all over the country.
The sound & lights for the Goa Food and Cultural Festival 2017 are being designed and managed by India’s best Sound Engineer Roger Drego who has worked for International stars like Jlo, Shakira & Michael Jackson in the past.
India’s top most lighting designer Mr. Michael Nazareth will design the lighting for the festival.
The festival will also feature Goa’s very own brew, Feni and will have a live distillation unit on site to educate and inform tourist about the Feni making process.
Huge arrays of stalls are also dedicated to Arts & Crafts from Goa setting the tone for the tourist to indulge in some shopping along with the binging spree.
A cooking competition will also be held on 14th May and prizes will be given out to the best creations that will pass the visual and taste bud appeal. Some of Goa’s best restaurants will display their authentic Goan cuisine that will range from exotic seafood to mouth watering deserts of Goan origin. Some of the best chilled concoctions will be created in order to beat the heat with an array of local distillers creating innovative beverages.
