Goa-Mumbai-Goa cruise line services would be launched shortly in Goa from December 2017. The Cruise Ship from Mumbai to Goa and back to Mumbai is expected to be launched from mid December and would operated either twice or thrice a week from the Terminal Port at the Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) in Vasco. This was recently announced by the Union Minister of Shipping Shri Nitin Gadakari announced the same.

The advantage of a cruise ship is that it is environment friendly as it reduces pollution, and the experience for the travelers is an enjoyable one. If the hotels and resorts in Goa, especially which are along the coastal belt, develop floating jetties, the ease of travel and the out-of-the world experience would create more excitement to the tourists coming to Goa.
