Offers Flowers at Manguesh Temple

Shree Manguesh Temple, is located at the village Priol, in Ponda taluka (22 km from Panaji). In the 16th century, the linga of this temple was brought to Priol from Cortalim to avoid desecration by the Portuguese. It was constructed in the 18th century. Shiva is worshipped here in the form of Mangesh. The well laid out water tank and the seven-storey octagonal lamp tower, the ‘deepastambha’ immediately catches the eye.
