Sao Sebastiao Church
Sao Sebastiao Church Elevated: 20.4.1970    Feast: 26th January History: The original chapel was situated at Alorna and it was dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi. But in 1922 it was destroyed by a flood, its façade stands till today, and the Chaplain transferred his residence to the chapel of St. Sebastian at Tormas. The Parish of Tormas was erected on 20.4.1970. Architectural notes: • Neo-Roman style • Medium size, 3 bays x 3 storeys • Pediment-topped gable holds niche and bell • Windows with balusters in second storey • Finials of lobed-cone type • Large shade of corrugated sheet roofing
