History: In the beginning a Chapel was built, whose foundation was laid on 22.10.1851 and blessed on 29.12.1852. It was erected into a parochial church by provision dated 2.1.1855. The Church was rebuilt in 1864. The Monument to Christ the King in the church yard was blessed on 6.1.1936
Architectural notes:
• Neo-Roman style
• Medium size, 3 bays x 3 storeys
• Frontispiece has Rococo style curves
• Finials of spear type
• Twin bell turrets
• Tiled roof-shades for doors balcony
