History:Â Initially there was a Chapel founded in 1826 and affiliated to the Church of Bicholim from which it was separated and erected into an independent parochial church on 11.12.1827.

Architectural notes:

• Neo-Roman style
• Medium size, 5 bays x 2 storeys
• Frontispiece capped by pediment and adorned bya Cristo Rei statue
• Twin turrets, finials of urn type
• Porch with round columns and tiled roof
