History: The Church of Tivim was built in 1623 by the villagers of Tivim, Sirsaim and Assonora. The primitive church was destroyed by the invading forces of Sambhaji and it had to be rebuilt around 1685.
Architectural notes:
• Mannerist style with Rococo features
• Large size, 5 bays x 3 storeys
• Rococo curved frontispiece with niche and coat-of-arms
• Niched balconies in second storey with balusters
• Twin bell turrets with balusters and finials of lobed-urn type
• Large porch with arched openings and balustrade on flat roof
