Elevated: 27.11.1606Â Â Â Â Feast: Sunday after 21st January

History: Santa Inez initially has a small chapel built in 1584. It was rebuilt in 1605 and one year later it was raised to the rank of a parish by provision dated 27.11.1606. The present Church was built in 1653. Initially Santa Inez was situated on the banks of the river Mandovi and there was a port for embarcation; even today the feast of Our Lady of Ports (Harbour) is celebrated. The Augustinians worked in this Parish till 1769.

Architectural notes:

• Mannerist Neo-Roman style
• Large size, 3 bays x 3 storeys
• Frontispiece with Rococo curves and relief of Holy Spirit in pediment
• Round column molding for arched main door
• Consoles for cornices at all levels
• Twin bell turrets, finials of spear type
