History: The foundation of the original Chapel of Rivona was laid on 20.4.1889. The Chapel was blessed on 7.5.1890. It was filial to the church of Tilamola form which it was delinked and erected into an independent church by provision of 1.4.1940. The Pilar Fathers are serving the parish since 1952. The new building of the Church was erected in 1961.

Architectural notes:

• Modern design
• Medium size, two-storey high
• Vertical fluting for central façade
• Tall slit windows, façade tops are curved
• Belfry and cross offset to the left of centre
• Porch for main door, shades for others
