History: Founded by the Jesuits, the church was erected into a parish on 28.5.1635. The church was rebuilt, its foundation stone was laid on 15.12.1700. A new parochial residence was inaugurated on 24.4.1998.

Architectural notes:

• Mannerist Neo-Roman style
• Large size, 5 bays x 3 storeys
• Sequence of Arch-Rectangle-Oculus-Niche
• Oculus panel has intricate floral designs
• Alettes are modified and show diminished ‘fleur-de-lis’ spikes
• Relief frames for tower bays
• Finials of urn and spear types
• Twin bell towers with cupola and lantern
• High roofed porch with corrugated sheets
